Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 sold more than 2.5 million copies in its first 24 hours of availability, making it PlayStation Studios’ fastest-selling game ever.
That stat includes pre-order sales of individual units, as well as units bundled with PlayStation 5.
Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with PlayStation Studios and Marvel Games, the followup to the 2018 game Marvel’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales launched Friday.
This third game allowed players to go back and forth playing as both Peter Parker from the original game and Miles Morales from the sequel and included a new “Web Wings” feature that made it possible to travel across an expanded version of Marvel’s New York City.
